Events

Piggs Peake Winery typically runs events for members and guests each year in the capital cities of the Eastern States and at the winery itself.

In 2015, degustation dinners were held at Hughsies at Toronto, Emersons at Pokolbin, Aria Brisbane, Longhorn Saloon Melbourne and Pendolino in Sydney. They were great fun.

Typically, we firm up events for the Spring around August and publish the dates for our customers. So, watch this space.

In June each year we have the official release of the next batch of Piggs Peake Wines. This is the one club members hang out for each year.

Swine's are invited up to the winery on the Saturday evenings to feast on King Prawns, Oysters, Duck Sausages, Rump Steak, Spit Roast Beef, Cheese platters, Chocolate Cakes and whole Spitroast Pigs while listening and dancing to Dr Goodvibe and trying the next batch of Piggs Peake Wines.

17th & 24th June, 2017

22nd & 29th July, 2017

Theme - Motown

Please RSVP with your membership details and we will ensure there is a place available for you.

The Zin long lunch at Cargo Road vineyards, Orange.

The Zin lunch has been tweaked a bit lately with James threatening to include a bracket of Riesling to freshen us up.

Either way, I know how this ends.

Its an event where historically too much has been barely enough.

Bookings are through James at Cargo Road Winery and Vineyards (0428656100)

Dinner at Longhorn Saloon Melbourne.

I like Longhorn. The concept is simple. Get a nice piece of steak or Salmon and grill it over a wood fire.

It’s the simple things...

Anyhow, bookings are through Piggs Peake on (02) 65747000 or uniquewine@piggspeake.com $90 a head all inclusive.

It's on again. Italy Vs Australia.

Be there as Head Chef Nino Zoccali and his Sommelier Cristian pit their favourite Italian wines head to head against Australia’s best examples of home grown Italian varieties.

Is Sangiovese from Chianti better than Sangiovese from Mudgee?

Is an Orange Arneis up there with one from Piedmont?

One wine from each team will be matched to a course while the crowd chooses a winner.

This is no friendly.

Last year, Australia looked like it was going to win and out of the blue the Italian Moscato feel flat on its face screaming and holding its leg. Ten seconds after that, it scored the winning points and went for a victory lap around the restaurant...

Anyhow, we are ready for such shenanigans this year.

Please book through Pendolino on (02) 92316117 or info@pendolino.com.au
